“Searching for MySpace layouts can be a chore” is the understatement of the year! I have a few bands as clients and MySpace truly is the best place for bands to get exposure. It may suck for any other niche but certainly not for bands.
But looking for a suitable layout can become extremely tedious… Especially when you come across a site like FreeCodeSource.com. The last thing I want to do is Google MySpace layouts, click the number one organically ranked site that comes up in the search engine results only to find out they have dead links and a horrible selection of layouts. Sorry FreeCodeSource.com, whoever you are, but your site is frustratingly disappointing…
I found this article pretty interesting and thought maybe you’d think the same

MySpace.com, the popular online social network and procrastination tool, began its long-awaited music service Thursday. MySpace Music (myspace.com/music) offers free access to a library of hundreds of thousands of songs provided by all four major labels, which are partners in the service, and the Orchard, an independent digital media company.
Users can transfer songs to portable music players or other devices after downloading them, for a fee, from Amazon.com. But a group of independent labels still negotiating with MySpace and its chief executive, Chris DeWolfe, for a presence on MySpace Music, objected that the service was started without their participation. “It certainly makes Chris DeWolfe’s public statements, that the ‘indie bands are really the heart of MySpace,’ ring extremely hollow,” said Charles Caldas, the chief executive of Merlin, a music licensing agency, in a statement.
So what in the world does this all mean and how will it impact the integrity of MySpace? I’ll keep you updated as the story /drama unfolds.
You all know I tell it like it is and when I find a Press Release claiming to do some pretty cool stuff I HAVE to check it out! Right off the bat the site name sucks, but let’s not allow that to prevent us from checking out Ugotbling… U Got Bling… LOL! Wouldn’t it be funny if the creator is some corporate white guy who wears black dress socks with his Teva sandals?
And one more thing… UGotBlink was created by Peeflux Inc.. Is this entire thing a damn joke?
Ugotbling introduces Animate Your Picture MySpace Comments, a MySpace widget that allows users to paste their face pictures in an animated body and add captions using speech bubbles.
Ugotbling, the newest MySpace accessory site created by Peeflux Inc., introduces the next wave of innovative MySpace comments and animated MySpace graphics called “Animate Your Picture”.
Animate Your Picture is a MySpace widget that allows users to paste their face picture in a variety of animated bodies, including a superhero, a dancer, the devil, and a baby to name a few. The tool is designed to make users dance, fly, or simply do silly things with their face picture on an animated body image.
With Animate Your Picture, users can also make their animated picture talk by choosing a speech bubble of their choice and entering a thought or a caption they want to say such as simple “hi’s” and “hello’s”, sweet quotes, funny jokes, or silly insults.
Designed with a user-friendly interface, Animate Your Picture is easy to use and install on MySpace profiles. The widget comes with a preview and a settings modification tool that allows users to make changes to their pictures and captions according to their preferences, including face width and height, speech bubble size and alignment, and font properties. On the preview section, a simple drag-and-drop action for the users’ uploaded picture and speech bubble can be done to match the animated body image.
Once the animated picture is all set, users can grab the code of the widget, copy it, and then paste it on their MySpace profile or send as MySpace comments. Animate Your Picture is a perfect accessory to MySpace profiles and a great idea for MySpace comments that can be sent out to friends. This widget from Ugotbling can also be used in other social networking sites including Facebook, Hi5, Flickr, Friendster, Tagged, and even blog sites such as Xanga and Blogger.
This is actually kind of cool because I remember giving my wife a hard time about MySpace. I thought it was nothing but a meat market and couldn’t stand the fact she was on it and active! 3 years later and a MySpace Internet Marketing product later every big corporation and their mother is on MySpace, LOL!!! I stumbled across this news the other day…
H-D rallies MySpace community to say, “So screw it - let’s ride.”
Harley-Davidson has rumbled onto one of the world’s largest social networks with the official Harley-Davidson MySpace profile. And in true Harley-Davidson fashion, visitors are greeted with the “So screw it, let’s ride” manifesto and a link that challenges them to bring their own words to the rally cry. But that’s just the beginning of the journey.
The official Harley-Davidson MySpace profile is continuously updated with all the latest news and happenings straight from the source. Visitors find out how to get on the inside track for once in a lifetime events like the Foo Fighters concert that’s part of Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary celebration. They’ll get the lowdown on cool rides and events across the country. There are updates on the latest motorcycles and a link that lets visitors customize their own virtual ride with authentic Harley-Davidson® accessories. There’s a load of downloads including screen savers, wallpapers, custom protective skins and other downloads for mobile devices. There are also links to information about buying a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle, as well as the Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course.
But the central mission of the profile is to give Harley-Davidson enthusiast on MySpace the chance to connect. Harley-Davidson isn’t just about bikes; it’s about bikers who love the freedom of the open road. And what a wildly mixed crew they are. They represent everything from young hot shots to wind weathered easy riders. They are escapees from glass towers and geared up garages. With a shared passion, they come from every corner of the world. The Harley-Davidson MySpace profile gives them a place to gather on common ground. And by adding H-D as a friend, they’ll be able to share stories from the road, pictures of their own bikes, videos of their antics, and swap tips, tricks and suggestions for memorable rides.
Harley-Davidson’s MySpace profile has a lot to offer riders with 30 years in the saddle or just 30 days out of a Rider’s Edge course. It’s also an informative good time for those still thinking about stepping off the curb and getting in the saddle of their own Harley-Davidson.
Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles and a complete line of motorcycle parts, accessories and general merchandise. For more information, visit Harley-Davidson’s web site at www.harley-davidson.com.

If you think anything like I do I simply had to check this site out since they claim to give users the highest quality resources And to be honest with you it wasn’t anything worth writing home about.
But there were a few layouts that my wife and I personally liked. For instance my wife absolutely adored the layout called Abstract Layout 10. It’s under the layout category called Vector Layouts.
I decided to take a screen capture of it just in case you didn’t feel like leaving this post; it’s to the left What I like about the layout is it’s color scheme; it’s busy and simple at the same time! And all you ladies out there, “You can’t go wrong with a conservatively sexy MySpace profile layout such as this!
My favorite layout was also in the Vector Layouts section. The other categories just didn’t grab my attention like the Vectors did. This layout also has an extremely imaginative name, Abstract Layout 2… WOW! Complete genius! I love the 70’s blend of the swirling browns.
Come to think of it, I wonder if these vector layouts are created by the same people who create the vector images at iStock Photo? Those are my favorites as well because they’re so eye-popping but the images are also so the most expensive.
To some it all up… It isn’t the best layout site out there but it does have some pretty cool stuff. And since it’s still small there’s a chance you can pick up a profile design nobody else has seen yet. That in itself makes it worthwhile to at least take a gander.

MySpace, its corporate history as well as the status of Tom Anderson as a MySpace founder, has been an enigma.
Is Tom an actual MySpace founder?
Was he at any point in time an active president of MySpace?
When MySpace was purchased on July 2005 for US$580 million by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation (the parent company of Fox Broadcasting and other media enterprises) did Tom get to tag along?
And finally, is Tom even real or just a brilliant marketing tactic that brought a personalized feeling to an enormous network?
I don’t know… Whatever the case, a large debate has been going on for some time. Stick around and learn some pretty cool tips and tricks that will make your MySpace experience a little bit easier
